Introduction

In the following video webcast, Dr. Harold Alan Pincus, Vice Chair for Strategic Initiatives, Department of Psychiatry, College of Physicians and Surgeons, Columbia University, Director of Quality and Outcomes Research, New York-Presbyterian Hospital, provides an overview of the current gaps in the quality of care for depression and the basis for those gaps.  He further builds the case for applying evidence-based practices in providing quality care for depression in the primary care setting, and reviews current and future quality initiatives impacting depression care.
